Having Viral Infection In The Stomach. Cough, Vomiting, Sickness Being The Symptoms.

Ny son is 4 years old.The beginning of the month my son was sick with a mild cough. Soon enough he started to vomit, we stayed in the hospital for two days they said it was a stomache virus. Now it being the end of the month he seemed perfectly fine but now he's back at throwing up .. Twice during the day and twice right now 1am and 2:45 am.
Did the virus return? What's going on?

Pediatrician 's  Response
hI DEAR,
Thanks for your query. Most probably he is having gastritis resulting in vomiting. Try giving him antiemetics after showing him to a doctor. If still his vomiting persists preventing him from taking anything then he needs to be started on intravenous fluids. Keep him hydrated with liquids, juices, water, coconut water, buttermilk. He will be alright in two or three days.
Previous episode may or may not be related. Do you use unboiled water ? DO you frequently eat outside ? These are some reasons for recurring vomiting.

Take care
