Dear Doctors, Thankyou for being there for us. I am 57yrsold and single. For some weeks I have been itching terribly in my private parts. At first I was having hot flashes and the blood boiling throughout my body. I would stay inside an airconditioned room all the time and use a cold compress on my parts to cool down. I went to skin specialist when I saw a few red patches coming and disappearing on my arms or back within a few minutes. The doctor said it nothing to worry about as the hot flashes were due to menopause and the vaginal itch was also connected with that. For the patches she gave antihistamines and a cream to put on the red patch if they appeared. I took the antihistamines for 2 wks but the itching got worse, only in the vagina. I could feel some kind of rash or spots inside the vagina hole and a lot of heat would come out. The itching is so bad that I feel I would rip the flesh. The place got tender and swollen and dry though I used a moisturizer . I then went to another specialist and she said I had urticara and gave me another set of antihistamines to use for a month and betamethasonedipropionate usp for use around and on vagina which has bumps or spots on it now. they were not really itchy but I could still feel spots inside the vagina which is still very itchy. The itch comes once in morning and once in evening and is very bad. Rest of time I m itch free. Since yesterday, I have a lot of red spots or rash between the right leg and vagina area. They are not itchy and not filled with pus or anything. They are all down the crease and go back to anus opening whcih is itchy as well. Please let me tell you that I take medication for high blood pressure and Type b diabetes, blood thinners and have been doing so for past 18 mths. Never had any itch problems before.Please do help me. I cannot understand the rash inside my vagina which is so itchy that I am distracted and miserable. I do not have any partners and funny as it may sound am a virgin . Thank you so much for your kind attention and time.
