Having Pain In And Around Anus. Taking Metamucil. Suggest
Over the last few weeks I have been experiencing a constant need to empty my bowels. I had been regular and hadnt experienced any pain or strain while having a bowel motion. I decided to up my fibre intake and have been taking metamucil as I thought that though regular this feeling of constantly needing to go could have been a form of constipation. Unfortunately It has started to become unbearably painful in and around my anus. It is so painful thst ive had to take time off from work. I feel like I have something shoved inside my anus. It is so incredibly painful. I am so very worried.....

Excruciating pain during , before & after defecation are due to following reasons.
1. Hemorrhoids i.e. piles Imagine a dial of watch and and 3, 7, 11 are the places which are spots of veins and these three places are the spots of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are nothing but dilatation of veins due to pressure during defecation or any other reasons.May be painful or without pain. May have blood or without blood. Blood may be in stool or before or after defecation.
2. Fistula in anus is another reason in and around anus area. In fistula there is excruciating pain ( more pain than hemorrhoids).
So please consult a doctor and physical examination reveals the exact nature of disease.
Take a treatment accordingly.
