Having Pain And Nauseated At The Back Of Head Due To Injury

I fell off a ladder and hit the back of my head on the concrete driveway. I didn't lose black out, but couldn't move for several minutes. There was a small pool of blood when I stood up and all over my shirt. The bleeding stopped fairly quickly though. I cleaned my wound as good as possible and have been laying down with ice packs. My head feels squishy in the back. I am a little nauseated, but not bad. I have a severe headache, but it is getting better.Should I go to Er?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The mechanism of your injury like falling from the ladder and the complain that you have suggest that you should go for ER.

Even though you are not feeling that bad still you may develop an internal bleeding of the brain that could be fatal, if not treated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Edvin Selmani
