Having Noticed Swelling Under The Right Eye

My son woke up with what looked like a little bite under his right eye and was swollen all around and by end of day both eyes were swollen and red in almost perfect circles around eye area. I gave him Claritin because he does have seasonal allergies but I'm wondering why it is getting worse (spread from one to the other) and not better after the medicine.

Hello
It seems from the history that your son is having swelling and red circles under the right eye.
This indicates inflammation of the eyelids in the form of blepharitis.
The treatment of the condition is by use of lid scrubs and antibiotic eye ointments.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
