Having Noticed Slight Lateral Squint On The Right Eye

im a 19 yr old student...i realized im having a hazy vision while focussing on distant objects a few yrs back..on visiting a local eye specialist i came to know that my powers are LE: -0.5 and RE: -1.5 dioptres respectively...but after a few weeks of wearing specs i observed that there is a slight lateral squint on my right eye...but on removing d specs it used to become normal again..now after almost an year later my powers are LE: -0.5 and RE: -2.0..notice that the power of my left eye remained the same...but that of the right eye has increased..i came to know that this difference between the powers is high enough...the squint has become more prominent...i would lyk to know the probable cause and about the necessary treatments..any assistance is appreciated..

Yours faithfully,

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having squint in right eye with right eye deviated laterally called as exotropia.
Since the refractive error in both the eyes is unequal with refractive error being more in right eye thus may be responsible for squint in right eye.
If the squint in right eye is constant even after wearing spectacles then it requires surgery.

Thank you
