Having Noticed Headache Due To Swelling Of Temple Above The Ear

Hi my mom asked me to write you this...
I fell in the shower about 24 hours ago. I have a large amount of swelling just below my temple and above my right ear. I've gotten worse. The swelling has gotten larger and I'm very irritated. My headache went from a dull pain and it has also gotten worse. I started throwing up also and am having confusion now. I remember the first hit or starting to fall but I am blank after that. I also hit the back side of my head on the same side. I'm getting worried about the large swelling. I am a 49 year old female. I'm not sure if I should go to the ER or just keep icing it.
She is very irritable at everything and that's not like her.i don't know what to do.
Thank you.

thanks for your query, i have gone through your question, the swelling below the temple above the ear could be because of the impact of trauma or secondary to fractured zygomatic arch...the pain could be because of the fractured bone...consult a oral maxillofacial surgeon or a oral physician to rule out any fracture...you need to take radiographs like submentovertex view and CT if required....i hope my answer will help you...take care...
