Having Metformin For PCOS. Spotted On And Off, Feeling Nausea, Moodiness, Breast Tenderness, Cramping, Back Pain. Pregnant?

Hi,I have been taking 500mg of metformin since 10/18 due to pcos., I spotted on and off for 2 weeks straight, then it stopped. and for the past 3 days Ive been feeling alot of nausea, moodiness,breast tenderness, period like cramping and lower back pain., but no period., I took a HPT and it was negative., could all these symptoms be early signs of pregnancy? and i took the test to early?

Thanks for the query.
If there is history of unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is possibility of pregnancy.
Metformin helps in decreasing the insulin resistance in PCOD.
Usually it won't affect the menstrual cycle directly.
The spotting you had could be due to: Hormonal imbalance in PCOD.
In early pregnancy sometimes spotting can be seen.

Urine pregnancy test kit may not detect early pregnancy sometimes.
But just by symptoms we cannot come to one conclusion regarding pregnancy.
So better to go for blood test for pregnancy.
Which can give more accurate result compared with urine test.
If the test comes negative, possibly the spotting could be hormonal only.
And you can take treatment accordingly.
