Having Low BP, Undergone Bypass Surgery. Taking Deplatt, Storvas, Betalogue. How To Gain Weight, Bring BP Normal?

My wife is always victim of low blood pressure 70/40 what medicines she should take. she is 100% vegetarian.She had bye pass surgery on 06/10/2007, The medicines which she is taking regularly---Deplatt,Storvas ,Betalogue. Her weight is hardly 42 Kg.Kindly advise how she can gain weight & get rid off from the problem of low BP.she is 59 years old. Thanks

Hi there. Your wife needs to discontinue the beta-blocker for a start as it is further lowering her blood pressure. I am not sure about her other medications. She should discuss that with her own doctor. It is not good for her to be going around with this low blood pressure as she is in danger of falling. Thanks and good luck.
