Having Headache, Gas Problem. Prescribed Medicines. No Relief. Suggestions?

I am having headache since 10-15 days and also having gas problem. I have consulted a Gastro-entrologist, he suggested me endorscopy and Brain scan. The result of both the test is clear having no problem. The doctor prescribed me Pantodac DSR for 4 weeks 1 tab before breakfast and somafresh one tab before sleep. I having the medicine since 4 days but no benefit. I had taken Pantodac DSR earlier for one month and this time also continuing but every day having pain in the side and back portion of my head. Please guide me.

Welcoem to health care magic!

after reading your question I found that you have a complain of headaches and gas which is not responding to antacids like pantoperazole. you have not mentioned any pain killer in your medicines.

Had I been treating you I would give you a course of antibiotics as now it's a long time you have this gas problem along with some good antacids like Esmoperazole twice a day, half hour before meals. This is very effective in your condition. this will help in cleaning the infection which is causing extra gas production. For the time being you should avoid spicy/ oily and out side food, cold drinks, and take adequate water. Please stop alcohol if you drink.

You have also complained of head ache but there is no mention of blood pressure reading, I would advice you to get your BP checked by a doctor and get your liver function test, lipid profile and an X Ray neck (to rule out cervical spondylosis) done.

If your blood pressure comes normal, you will get relief in head ache by taking some pain killer only.
Your problem is quite commonly seen in general hospital settings, and get better easily with correct treatment.

Hope the answer helps you.
