Having dry and sensitive skin. Have dead cells and black heads around nose. Remedies without side effects?

hello doc..i am 28 years old. I am wheatish with dry and sensitive skin. I have dead cells or black heads problem around my nose for this i regularly visited to parlour. I want get rid of this and want fair complexion too. Please suggest me some remedies without any side effects. I am v thankful to you..with regards Nisha

Hi Nisha,
Thanks for writing to us.
You have mentioned three skin concerns- dry skin, blackheads and dull complexion
Presence of dry skin and comedones possibly suggest that you have a combination skin where your T zone( forehead,chin,nose) is oily and rest of the face is dry. To treat the same, use cetaphil face wash and moisturiser daily. To remove blackheads-
use a mild scrub once in a week
Do warm water compresses at the affected area for five minutes
Use a comedone extractor to remove the comedones/ blackheads
Ice the area and apply adapalene gel
Regular use of adapalene gel at affected area in night would prevent further recurrence.

To brighten your complexion, use a water based sunscreen in morning. Use Kojic acid vitamin c based cream like kojivit daily. Its a mild cream and in long run safe. Regular use, would brighten up your face.
