Having Discomfort While Urinating. Have BV Episode More When Off Balance. Have STD Symptom. Suggest?
I am having slight discomfort when I have to go to the bathroom(urinate)- after I've been holding it for a while and towards the end after I've started urinating. I normally have a BV episode maybe one or twice a month, sometimes more when my balance is off. My question is whether on not bv can cause the discomfort I have when going to the bathroom or maybe Im experiencing STD symptoms(recently had intercourse with my bf whom I havent seen in 16 months).
Hi, Welcome to HCM. BV usually will not cause any discomfort during urination except an occasional fishy smell. Associate problems like Trichomonas Vaginalis or a Non Gonococcal urethritis or a genital infection can cause such discomfort. They are usually Sexually transmitted infections. These can be diagnosed by a vaginal smear examination and a urine examination. Your boy friend also has to be treated simultaneously. Dr S.Murugan
