I am a 50 year old femail and I am NEVER sick so am probably over reacting I am not taking medication(yet !!) Hi ! Considering your age factor, and if you have got a prolonged cough, I would suggest you to see your family physician soon who after clinically examining you may also advise for an X ray chest for you. You may also need some antibiotics and other cough medications.
Wishing you an early recovery. Thanks.
