Having Chest Pain After Being Hit On The Chest In A Game. Feeling Lightheaded. Any Injury To Heart?
Hi, I took an elbow to my heart while playing basketball 4 days ago. It took my breath away for a few minutes but I continued to play for another hour to finish the game. I am a healthy 41 year old male. I am still experiencing chest pain , light headed at times & needing to take deep breaths. I am not sure if it is possible to bruise your heart & if so, are these symptoms? Thank you

Hello,
Generally heart is well protected and doesn't get injured easily. But you should rule out lung injury. If there is severe injury , this may affect oxygen exchange and cause lightheadedness. So ideal approach would be to get clinical evaluation done with chest xray.
Hallo
Thanks for your query. You had a blow over your chest while playing.and now you have pain in chest while breathing. This could be due to injury to the rib.Pl take x ray of the chest to rule out any injury to rib.. Even though there is a injury to the rib do not worry about it take pain killers for a week it will heal in weeks time.Pl do not think of any injury to your heart.
