Having Back Pain And Blood Pressure. Reason And Medications To Overcome?
my wife has been operated ASD Closure since 15 years back.now she is having back pain .now her age is 43yrs.And she is having Blood Pressure also.Please suggest what are precautions and Medicines to be taken .But i have consult a local doctor who is MD in cardiologist has suggested to take the following Medicines i.e Met XL 12.5 ONE Tablet in Morning and Lonazep Md 0.25.Please suggest why back pain .how to over come.

After closure of ASD that too 15 years ago no complication or no modification of drugs is needed. Unless she was having documented arrthythmia on EKG which at times can persist. Please reassure yourself and your wife. The usual precaution for a hypertensive individual (as a normal individual, here history of closure of ASD has no role whatsoever) have to be taken. If you are keen you can discuss with your doctor and get risk profile for Ischemic Heart Disease done as she is approaching the age when hormonal protection from coronary artery disease is no longer there. Here one must know that Hypertension is one of the risk factor for coronary disease.
