Having Anxiety Disorder And PVC. Is Anxiety The Reason For PVC?

I started having panic attacks early this year and from there on, it progressed to an anxiety disorder. My anxiety had effected my mental state and I started having "what if" thoughts. I remeber playing football with extreme anxiety and that is when I had my first experience with PVCs. Since then, I have health anxiety. These PVCs frightened me so much to the point where at I began to have cardiac arrest thoughts. This is a bit frustrating because I hear and have read that most PVCs are not life threatening and also, I come from a family without heart problems and lenghty life spans. I only experience these PVCs when I scare my mind with negative thoughts. I live everyday now fearing that i would have a cardiac arrest. I just want to know if my PVCs where brought about by my anxiety.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Anxiety can worsen or cause PVCs in some person, so it may be contributing to your symptoms.
There are other causes of PVC such as : thyroid disease, smoking, alcohol, side effect of medication, electrolyte disturbance, heart disease, electrolyte disturbance.

If the anxiety is affecting your quality of life, you should consider visiting a psychiatrist or psychologist. You would likely benefit from counselling and the use of medication.
The medication may not have to be used for the long term.

I hope this helps
