The goal of treatment in Ankylosing spondylitis is to relieve pain and stiffness, and prevent or delay complications and spinal deformity. Treatment is most succesful when the diagnosed and treated early, before the start of the complications like irreversible damage to your joints, such as fusion, and limitations of movements. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), Corticosteroids, Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blockers have all been used successfully either alone or in combinations. Please consult a rheumatologist or Immunologist in your area for the best treatments available and fit to you.
