Have Whitish Patch On The Tongue, Not Able To Eat Spicy Food, Cough. What Could Be The Problem?

hi doctor,i am having a white patch on the inside of tongue .and i have a bit cough ....so when i eat anything(little spicy) then i feel hot and some itching on tongue....usually i dont have any problem eating spicy foods....but from past few days....i m not able to enjoy the taste of food as well....so i gave a look on the tongue with d help of mirror....and hence found a white patch.....can u plase help me out with this

this white patch can be any white lesion like osmf, leucolpakia
,lichen planus or may be just a ulcer.i need to know about
your oral habits like tobacco chewing ,smoking.is ur mouth
opening is alsi affected?i would advice you to get it diagnosed
clinically and biopsy done.

First of all you need to tell us your habits related to Tobaccoo, Supari, Gutkha etc.
the white patch on the tongure presenting with burning sensations can be because of a disease, Oral Submucus fibrosis (OSMF), particularly if you are supari chewer or are feeling slight dificulty with opening of the mouth. Else it can be caused by other diseases most likely being, LEUKOPLAKIA (in tobaccoo chewers/ smokers), LICHEN PLANUS or a fungal infection, CANDIDIASIS (if white patch can be scrapped off). these are some of the probable diagnosis. you need a thorough dental check up to exactly find out thr reason, therafter only. a treatment can be rendered
