Have Vomiting, Diarrhea . Done CT, Blood And Stool Test. Right Medication?

My step daughter 21 years old have vomiting and diarrhea for 5 days then feels better for approx 2 weeks then starts again. ct and blood and stool are showing low potassium and fluids but no other items. This started in the beginning of July. I am attempting to get her to an infectious disease specialist but perhaps you can shed some light or point us in the right direction as she currently has no insurance
Thank you,

Hi,

Thanks for consulting HealthcareMagic!

Low potassium levels have to be corrected based on the values. If neglected low potassium levels can lead to cardiac arrhythmias. I suggest to see an Internal medicine docotr, rather going to Infectious specialist.

Also, she needs an ECG and repeat serum electrolyte levels to know the effect of potassium levels.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have have any clarifications.
