Have The Skin Purple Around The Wart Where The Wart Remover Was Applied
I ve used a wart remover on three different warts, I ve applied it around 45 minutes ago. the area around the wart its self has turned purple where the treatment has worn. the treatment when applied was out of a tube and once the liquid dried it turned white both on and around the wart. In the directions of use it said to wash with warm water and soup, I tried to do so but the liquid dried quick and wouldn t remove. Have I burnt it or damaged the skin.. if so what should I expect and how can I help its recovery? I m quite worried and I cant get a doctor out to me... Any help would be greatly appreciated.. and thanks
They cause local tissue destruction and thus benefit when applied on the wart, thereby destroying it. Sometimes they are inadvertantly applied on to surrounding normal skin which might also get irritated and become painful. This is what seem to have happened in your case.
If i was your treating doctor i would have asked you to apply a topical antibacterial cream like either fusidic acid or mupirocin twice daily for a few days till the skin recovers back to normal.
take care regards
