Have Swollen Tonsils, Difficulty Swallowing, Severe Pain. On Ibuprofen And Taken Honey. What Can Help?

I have swollen tonsils and it is extremely difficult to swallow. I am in severe pain and to the point of tears. It's 3am and all I want to do is sleep. Ibuprofen hasn't helped at all, neither has honey, hot tea, or gargling with salt water. I am considering going to the emergency room but don't want to drop $150 for them to tell me nothing helpful. Any advice would be lovely.
