Have Swollen Skin On Anus. No Itching And Pain. Tried Icing And Creams. Cure?

I have some excess or swollen skin on my anus. It does not look like a skin tag; it is not loose or "flappy", and it has no symptoms of a hemorrhoid; there's no itching, burning, swelling, or pain. It has been like this for years. Not to get too graphic, but it looks like one of the "segments" of the rectum is swollen. Like a piece of pie that's bigger than all the others. I've tried icing multiple times a day for a couple weeks, couple different creams, prep H, hemclear, and a few 'holistic' remedies. Nothing seems to effect it in the slightest.

Hello,
Welcome to health care magic.
It is good that you gave a graphic description! It helps.
From your description it sounds like a external haemorrhoid. Most of the times they are asymptomatic and appear like a pinkish brown protuberance of the rectal mucosa.
Do you suffer from long term constipation?if so, that could be the cause.
Treatment depends on the type of haemorrhoid and it's extent and has to be evaluated by a surgeon. Laxatives also help to prevent recurrences if you have constipation.Hope this helped.
Take care.
