Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

You have to take the Anti tuberculous regime of drugs for 6 months period during which time the swelling of the lymph nodes may subside.

Though tuberculosis is one of the commonest causes for cervical lymphadenopathy, there are many other causes that produces lymph node swelling in the neck.

A biopsy report should throw light on the possible diagnosis for the cause of lymphadenopathy.

Consult your treating doctor and discuss the issues.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day

Hi!
In my opinion you dont seem to be suffering from tubercular lymphadenitis
1.have not improved with antitubercular medicines in past 2 months
2.your biopsy report says chronic lymphadenitis so we should not label it as tubercular as in tuberculosis certain definite findings are noted and it is possible to specifically make a diagnosis of tubercular lymphnode.
chronic lymphadenitis can be due to viral .bacterial, immune mediated or neoplastic causes.A fresh workup with your doctor is required to find out the cause.
