Dermatologist Dr. Neera Kataria's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing in.
I understand your concern regarding acne and dark spots.First of all dont be stressed , it may aggravate acne and dark circles.I will try to help you out.

You seem to have low grade acne with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and dark circles (periorbital hyperpigmentation )
You may do as follows:
Take a few sessions of glycolic peels from a doctor, it will help in reduction of acne, pigmentation , improve skin tone , shed off superficial tan so that skin will look radiant.
Avoid sun exposure as much as possible, and use a broad spectrum sunscreen during the day even if indoors.
Get your black heads and white heads extracted regularly
Use a salicylic acid based face wash twice or thrice a day
Apply a glycolic or kojic acid cream at night for the dark spots.
Take a well balanced diet rich in iron, vitamins.
Drink plenty of water.
You may take oral supplements of Vit C and vit E and other antioxidants.
For dark circles peri orbital peels and glycolic based cream at night.
There can be redness and dryness which varies form person to person so dermatologist's supervision is mandatory .

Complexion is something which cannot be drastically improved so dont get moved by any advertisements. You may aim at a glowing and even toned skin.Peeling will help to shed off the superficial tan and help you achieve your skin's natural colour. I hope you understand that .

Hope this helps you
All the best
