Have Shedding Of Skin On Hand. Have Been Applying Gold Bond Motion. What To Do?

I have recently transitioned into an office job. I used to do field construction, but always wore gloves while working. The problem I am having is on my right hand only, all four of my fingers are shedding an unusual amount of skin. The skin is peeling away from the underside and not the top side of my fingers. I am wondering if this is due to the wireless mouse that I use with my right hand or some other deeper issue. I am not the first user of this mouse. I have been trying gold bond lotion on my hands to see if this would solve the problem. My right hand also appears to be slightly whiter than my left (I am white). Any thoughts?

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HealthcareMagic.

After reading the query there are two possibilities of the problem:
1. Contact dermatitis: this can be due to anything which is in contact with only right hand. This can be by mouse or anything which is touching the right hand only.
2. Fungal infection of the right hand: It is also a common cause of only one sided peeling of skin. If the peeling is involving the web spaces and the nails then there is higher possibility of this condition.

Even then it is better to consult a dermatologist for best possibility.
In between you do warm water compresses on your hand for at least two times a day. You should keep a close watch on any thing which is coming in contact with right hand only.You should apply simple white petroleum gelly rather than any other cream for at least 6-7 times day.
