Have Sex. Thighs Were Covered With Blood. It Filled The Toilet. But No Blood Seen Later In The Cervix Or In Tampon. Miscarriage?
Hi there,
I'm 29 and had my last period on August 13th 2013. Yesterday while using the restroom I noticed when I stood up my thighs we recovered in blood and when I sat back down it filled the toilet. I am sexually active and was wondering what happened. I showered and touched my cervix to only come out clean no trace of blood. I used a tampon just in case and later that night took it out with no trace of blood. Is my cycle changing? Could I have miscarried?
Hi, It is too early for a miscarriage as the conceptus would be just implanting had you conceived, assuming that you have a regular 28-30 day cycle; you could have just ovulated a couple of days ago. Therefore, other reasons for the bleeding should be investigated. Urinary and rectal sources also should be suspected. I would ask you get a physical exam by a gynecologist, get a pap and a vaginal smear along with a trans-vaginal sonogram. If no gynecologic cause is identified, other sources should be explored. Hope this helps.
