Have Severe Throat Pain, Runny Nose And Mild Fever. Suggest Effective Medication

Hi Doc I am Diana from India. Doctor I am having severe tnroat pain since 2 days and just now running nose started due to cold ...I also had slight temperature at night. I gargled but no help...I am having a 1 year baby so fear that infection might spread to her. I am a Phd student and have to work full time so , Pls suggest me a medicine which will work quickly.Please help doc..please

Hi Diana,
The proble you are describing is typical for sore throat or phyringitis, but it is difficult to suggest you any treatment without doing examination and investigations.
Soar throat can be due to viral or bacterial infection and treatment for this two condition is totally different and it is only after making confirmation that what is causing this, treatment can be prescribed.

I would suggest to consult your doctor and have confiramtion and than will get treatment. In meantime continue with saline warm water gargle and have proper rest with proper diet and fluid intake.
