Have Sensitivity In Foot. Had Decompression's. Did Emg. Have Fibromyalgia. Nerve Was Raw?

Does the sciatic nerve run down the front side or the back side of the legs. I have a heighteted sensitivity in my right foot from just above the ankle. I have had 2 decompressions to my L5S1. I get mixed messages from the surgeon and my foot doctor. When I had an emg done on my leg the test was normal and no nerve damage. I have fibromyalgia. Could this play a role in getting a negative emg test. The surgeon who did both of my L5S1 decompressions told me after the second one that the nerve was raw. Nothing is mentioned in his surgical notes or my progress notes. Can you explain this in easy to understand format?

hi i had gone through your query and understand your concern.

-the SCIATIC NERVE RUNNING DOWN THE BACK OF THE THIGH ,and may be caused by

-exposure to damp
-pressure on nerve,by tumor,or constipation,or through injury
-over use of limbs walking
-rheumatism or gout

kindly rule out the possible causes with x-ray or MRI scan for lumbosacral spine,
-blood test for serum uric acid levels etc

I hope this is helpful for you, thank you
