Have Scaly Skin, Coming Off Sometimes Even After Medication. How To Control Pain?

My skin feels like it's been scalded and even feels as though it's coming off at times ... My doctor gives medications and if, I'm allergic or they're too strong then, the nurse takes away all pain medications ... PLEASE tell me something that, I can do (OTC) to help this insane pain?

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Scaling skin needs a good moisturizer cream/lotion specially the one containing either Urea (10% OR 20 %) OR Ammonium Lactate 12 %.

They are hygroscopic and keratolytic agents, thereby they will not only remove excess scales from the affected ares but will also absorb atmospheric moisture and trap it in the skin. Extreme dryness can be painful due to fissuring and cracking of skin but you will feel better once you start using the formulations with these ingredients

Caution: Don't use them on face(too strong for face)
