Have Piece Of Skin Hanging From Vagina After Birth. Is This Normal?
Hello, I have just given birth to my son about 2 months ago. I recently noticed a piece of skin hanging out of my vagina . It only hangs out when I open my legs and my vagina opens. It doesn t really hurt when I touch it but its uncomfortable to know its there. I didn t tear or anything during delivery. Is this skin hanging normal? How can I get it to go away?
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
That could be remnant of hymen layer, this is called carunculae mytiformis.
That could be seen in some women after vaginal delivery.
If you are feeling uncomfortable because of that, you can consult gynecologist once and get examined.
She can remove that after examination.
Take care.
