Have Ovarian Cyst, Bladder Prolapse, Fibroids. Should I Have Hysterectomy Done?
I'm 64 and have had a small ovarian cyst for several years and it has been monitored. I have been told it could be complex and the walls are separating? Anyway, I also have a bad bladder prolapse and. Urgently using a pessary. The only response I get from my Gyn is to have a hysterectomy and have my bladder tacked and put in sling. I really don't want a hysterectomy. I have been told that my female parts are not doing me any good at all and that I should have the surgery. I also have some fibroids but they are not causing any problems. My gyn sent me to a gynoncologist for a second oponion and that specialist told me that my ovarian cyst is very small. Thanks.
Using pessary is not a permanent cure for the problem. The positive factors to advice hysterectomy are: -Advanced cystocele -Complex ovarian cyst -Fibroids -Age and parity If you want to avoid hysterectomy, you continue with pessary with regular change and regular ultrasound examinations to monitor the condition of ovarian cyst.
