Have Male Pattern Baldness. Side Effects Of Minoxidil And Androanagen?

Hi Doctor, From last two three years i m having male pattern baldness problem. I tried using different oils but could not get rid of my hair problem. Recently i went to a dermatologist who recommended me to stop using DR REDDY S MINTOP OIL (2% minidoxidil) and suggested to use HAIR4U 5% instead. Along with it she also prescribed me to eat one ANDROANAGEN (Curatio pharma) tablet daily. I learnt from her that i m having pattern four male pattern baldness and either mesotheraphy or stem cell theraphy could be the only possible soultion to gain hairs. Are there any side effects of minidoxidil and androanagen?? Other than minidoxidil are there any oil available in the market which are helpful for hair regrowth. Please advise.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for using the HCM. I am happy to address your questions, as every drug has side effects, minoxidil has its own. The side effects are burning or irritation of the eye, itching, redness or irritation at the treated area, unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body. There are a little bit more severe like allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); chest pain, dizziness, fainting, fast heartbeat, sudden unexplained weight gain, swollen hands or feet. The moment you experience any of these symptoms, please seek immediate medical attention. Since androgens are responsible for male characteristics, the androanagen produce side effects characteristic of men. These include increased growth of body hair, testicular shrinkage, increased sex drive, development of breasts in men, infertility, and development of severe acne on the face and back. Other potential mental side effects of androgens include mood swings, periods of mania, paranoia, extreme irritability, jealousy and delusions. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Thanks
