Have Inflammation In Neck. Pain In Back Of Head And Behind Ear. Daughter Has Alkalosing Spondatitis. Related?
Can pain and inflamation in neck with pain shooting up back of head and behind ear area be caused by Alkalosing Sondalitis? I have had this happen twice, have always had hip and tail bone pain and a stiff body in general. My daughter has been diagnosed with Alkalosing Spondatitis and I think that may have been what my grandfather had. I am 74 years old. My daughter is 50.

Ankylosing spondylitis is one of the possibility especially that you have family history, but usually start at earlier age.
if your back pain started recently I will investigate for osteoarthritis (wear and tear in spine) as 1st diagnosis. but there are many other causes.
if you want to be sure you can ask your doctor to get you x-ray of spine and blood tests to check for Ankylosing spondylitis.
