Have Headache, Ringing In Ears, Blurry Vision And Nausea. Had Fallen On Head. Suggestions?
I fell yesterday while snowboarding and landed on my head and back. I was wearing a helmet. I still have a very bad headache, ringing in my ears (off and on), my vision seems a bit blurry occasionally, very occasional nausea (mostly when I try to stretch my neck) and my head feels fuzzy and a bit numb around the eyebrows and forehead .
After any injury to the head if you have neurological symptoms like headache, ringing in ears, blurry vision, etc, then it’s better to get radiological imaging of the head and neck done. Thus I would suggest that you go to an emergency department and get appropriate x-rays and CT scans done.
Even though helmets are protective against head injuries, sudden movements of head can cause contusions of the brain which may go unnoticed on physical examination. These contusions may not be observed on imaging studies too. Another cause of your symptoms can be some injury to the base of skull. Base of skull is the lowest part of head. Thirdly you may have some injuries of the neck.
Hope I was of help
Thanks
