Have Headache Often And Metallic Taste. Taking Aspirin When Needed. Is This Because Of Tension?

Hi, i have been having light headaches everyday for the past month. I've been under a lot of stress lately so I just attributed it to this. I started taking aspirin 81mg when needed...about every four hours and the pain usually went away. Tonight, I noticed that there s a bitter, almost metallic taste at the back of my throat. Also my front teeth seem sensitive. Oh, a few days ago, I had temporary numbness on the right side of my face. Just the cheeks and the lips. Does this sound pretty typical of tension?

Hello,
welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Headache can be caused by several medical and psychological conditions. Try to find out precipitating factors and associated symptoms with headache in your case which will help in finding cause of headache.

Possible cause for headache in your case, in hierarchy:
-Stress and anxiety: Stress or psychological upset was the commonest triggering factor. As you already have stress, then there is need to manage it.
-Teeth problem
-High blood pressure
-ENT infection
-Eye infection/problem

Before any treatment, it is better to get yourself evaluated by general physician and psychiatrist, to rule out above causes of headache.

Wishing you good health and all the best.
