Corrective osteotomies yield a good clinical outcome but as like anyother surgery, have its own complications. The success rate may be around 95%.
As it is an elective surgery
(in your case), you can plan it leisurely.
(for your problem) is permanent.
The osteotomy site takes around 10-12 weeks to unite. So, untill that time you should not bear weight on the operated leg. You can be back to your work once solid bone union occurs.
