Have Fungus On Feet. Severe Muscle Atrophy. Trying To Regain Strength. Used Cortisone Shot. Will I Be Okay?

I am suffering from two things. I have severe muscle atrophy at age 48. Trying to regain strenght. What diet should i follow. I also have a pacemarker I eat egg whites fish and fresh spinach daily and going to gym. Recently I splurged and starting eating sweets and carbs. I now have a fungus on my feet. I went to Care Now and they gave me cortizone shot and cream. It cleared up till i ate carbs again. I am desperate for help.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Muscles are made primarily of protein. To regain your muscle strength you would have to use a diet that is high in protein.
Protein can come from either an animal or plant source.

Some examples of plant sources of protein are: soy foods, beans, nuts , quinoa.

If you notice that you get a reaction when using sweet carbs you may want to consider using carbohydrates with a low glycemic index such as apples, cherries, oranges, prunes, oatmeals, legumes, broccoli, cauliflower, eggplants, lettuce, green beans.

I hope this helps
