Have Fluid On Ovary, Was Operated For Mucinous Adenoma Cyst Followed By Infection. Suggest?

Hi

I would like to know what does it mean that I have fluid on my ovary....had an operation in April where a mucinous adenoma cyst was removed also I'm borderline as well as would like to mention that had an infection straight after the operation and been misdiagnosed my gynaecologist thought that I had endometriosis.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Fluid on ovary(ies) is seen in the presence of a fluid-filled sac called a cyst. Which is what your doctor also diagnosed. These cysts can be removed and treated easily , but depending on their location.

The use of antibiotics post-operatively is mandatory as infections are a common side effect.
