Have Fibroids, Endometrium Thick. Must I Have A Biopsy?

Hi. I am 65 and have had fibroids (asymptomatic) all my life. My GYN and later tests found recently that my endometrium is thick (about 12mm?) and wants to do a biopsy even though I have no symptoms whatsoever and PAP and ovaries are fine. Must I have a biopsy? I d rather not tamper... Thanks for your advice.
