Have Fever, Cold, Dengue, Malaria, Typhoid, Flu, Loss Of Appetite. On Sporidex And Wikoryl. Is It Because Of Medication?

Hi,

My daughter is 22 months old. She is having fever and cold for last 6 days. As per our regular Doctor advice we r gvng her Sporidex (2ml TDS) & Wikoryl (2 ml TDS) for last 6 days. Fever is going as high as 102/103 F (Side Temp) morning & evening. Her reports for Dengue, Malaria, Chkangunia & Typhoid are -ve. She has almost stopped taking food.

Yesterday we have shown her to another Doctor who diagnosed a flu and said it will go on its own in 2 more days & also said to stop all the medicines incl. antibiotic (sporidex) and give her only crocin for fever and Honitus for cough. While old Doctor says to continue with same medicine till Thursday morning. Have 2 ques. -
1) Is loss in appetite because of the antibiotic?
2) Should we stop all medicines or continue with Sporidex & Wikoryl?

KINDLY HELP.

THANKS for your interest in HCM.Usually, any viral fever will go off with in 5-7 days and loss of appetite is assosciated with any fever from which the child will recover in due course of time, the only thing is to give supportive medicines.Simple Paracetemol is sufficient to reduce fever and if fever not subsiding with in 7 days, then it needs to be invesigated.
