Have Elevated WBC, Diabetes, Fibromyalgia And Hypertension. What Does Thickening Of Adrenal Glands Indicate?

i have had slightly elevated white blood cell count for almost a year. between 12-14. My rheumatalogist who treats my Lupus checks it monthly as get infusion of Benlysta monthly. She wants me to see an oncologist just to be safe. On my last visit I complained of pains in my ribs and breast bones and she ordered an abdominal CT scan. In addition to Lupus I have hypertension, diabetes, asthma, reputured disc in L2 and L3 with pain in back and groin and fibromyalgia. The scan indicates thickening of the adrenal gland. What could this mean in relation to my current conditions or symptoms?
