Have Elevated ALT, AST, GGT. Low WBC, RBC. Have Pain In Right Side. On Percect. Referred To Hematologist. Suggestions?

I have had elevated ALT AST and GGT along with very low WBC and low RBC. 57 year old male. Light drinker 1-2 drinks per week. Fatigued Moderate pain lower right sided. Job has been high stressed lately however, these blood results have been like this since 12/05/2011. I was in Afghanistan working as a contractor 06/11 to 12/11 The pain started in October while in Afghanistan. Had it checked out when I was home in December 2011. DR has me on Percect for pain currently taking 1 1/2 to 2 a day. Last blood test was this past week. Dr has finally decided to refer me to a hematologist and a GI guy. Any idea what I might be dealing with?

hi,
according to your blood reported you must have to consult specialist of GI. for the elevated alt, ast and ggt. They are liver enzyme and are elevated mainly in liver dysfunction occur and this required long treatment also. first you have to leave to drink immediately. your liver is not working properly. and report suggest of jaundice. because of cirrhotic liver because the elevated ALT & AST along with the elevated GGT. which one is a marker of cirrhotic changes of liver. and consult hematologist after one if the wbc and rbc not getting normal by taking the liver treatment. oterwise no need to consult hematologist.
