Have Dry Heavy Cough. Unable To Sleep Or Eat. Tried Cough Syrups And Drops. Cure?

Hi, I have had a sever cough for about 3 months now. Like a dry heaving cough, but nothing comes up. It feels like there is a hair or something in my throat. I can't sleep, or eat without having a huge coughing fit. I have tried cough drops, syrups and over the counter cough supressants but nothing seems to work . Any idea on what this could be, I just need some relief
