I was given a z-pack -5day treatment it helped for awhile but it did a number on my stomach which caused severe vomiting and diarrhea, so bad I went to ER. They said it was 24 hr virus. I was ok for a few days but now My left ear hurts when I swallow and still have this constant cough. I also feel like I have a fever! Please help

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Ear pain could be because of persistent cough and the infection might have travelled to the ears.
Get ears examined
Till then you can start with decongestant tablets and mucolytic tablets .
Do not try to open up your ears by applying pressure.
keep chewing if it does not pains as it will help to open up a tube between ears and behind the nose so that ears get drained.
get well soon
if in doubt do reply.
