Have Double Vision, Tingling In Lips, Legs Pain. Started Cholesterol Medication. Are They Side Effects?

I started on colesterol medication around 5 years ago, after some time I started to have double vision once a month it lasted 1 to 2 minutes, but it started to happend more and more often and lasting longer and longer. now it is happening once or twice a day with tingling in my lips, a couple of times I lost control in both legs, it started at the exact time when the double vision started. I have stopped taking the colestreol medication and it seems that the side effect has stopped, I have been off the tablets for 7 days, I was also given medication for heartburn that also seems to have gone. I have not told my doctor yet as he is on a holiday.

Can you tell me if I have done the right thing Please

Hi, thank you for posting.

Well, except the positive effects that the anti cholesterol has in lowing cholesterol level and prevent heart attack, it also has negative effects(side effects), like psychological side effects
(nervous, low concentration and memory loss), neurological disorders(double vision, extremities numbness), myopathy(muscle and leg pain. It damages digestive tract, liver. It causes digestive disorder. It damages kidneys and can cause death).
If these symptoms are present you should immediately quit this medicine(anti cholesterol) and contact your medic.

Best Wishes.
