Have Diarrhea, Pain In Arm And Chest, Dizzy Weak, Light Headed, Feel Tired, Gassy. Done Ekg

yes i'm 16 years old and for 3 weeks I've been having diarrehea and I have pains in my left arm and my left side of my chest its like pinching pains in my left side of my chest like cramps. i'm also dizzy weak and light headed all the time and feel tired. I went to the hospital and had a ekg and the said my heart was fine but I get pains all day long in my left arm and left side of my chest. I also have shortness of breath. I just fell weak and bad all around. and I can't hold no food down and i'm very gassy all the time. what u think is wrong with me.

Hello dear,

The symptoms are attributed to electrolyte imbalance due to diarrhea & increased gas formation secondary to excess acid secretion in stomach.
Presenting with such symptoms, I usually treat my patients with:
1. Tablet Pantoprazole 20 mg twice daily (to be taken half an hour before food)
2. Anti spasmodics like Dicyclomine preparation twice daily (to be taken after food).
3. Antibiotics like Ofloxacin+Ornidazole preparation twice daily (to be taken after food)
4. Take soft, plain, non-spicy foods.
5. Drink lots of fluid to maintain adequate hydration.

If symptoms still persist, it will be better to consult a Gastroenterologist & get a proper physical examination done.
Investigations like complete blood count, stool examination & Ultrasound scan of abdomen will be helpful in detecting any pathological cause for the symptoms.
