Have Diarrhea. Done LFT. Is Everything Normal?

Hi, I have got diarrhea , and it's been around 5 months. I used to go 3-4 times after 1 hour of meal, but now I go 2 times and stools are not normal, it's watery. so, today, I did tests of LFT and the SGOT value is 43 IU/L, SGPT value is 10 IU/L, S.ALP is 51 IU/L and and S.bilirubin is 1.8 . Is everything normal?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Your liver tests are fine except bilirubin level which is a little bit elevated.
With chronic diarrhea liver tests are not the first tests which should be done. You should rather start with stool tests and stool culture test as the reason can be chronic bacterial infection.
Other possible reason of chronic diarrhea is partial bowels obstruction due to inflammatory bowels disease (Crohns disease) or even colon cancer.

That is why I suggest you to visit your doctor and have abdominal ultrasound, blood work, amylase level, urine analysis, urine amylase, stool tests. Next step should be colonoscopy.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
