Have Cyst On Ovary, Had White Sticky Discharge, Have Moderate Pain. Worry About?
Hi... I found out about 3 months ago that I have a cyst on my left ovary and today I went to the restroom and there was white thick and sticky substance in my panties. When I pee there was a hint of blood. Not a lot just enough to color the tissue paper. Then again tonight after urination it was still red/pink but strechy and thin. It is also accompanied by moderate pain... unsure what any of this means... to worry or not to worry?
Hello, Ovarian cysts are very common and treatment depends upon the size and symptoms caused by the cyst. Normally such cysts tend to go of their own in next 2 to 3 cycles and their treatment involves use of... Anti inflammatory drugs to control pain Hot water bath Use of birth control pills for regulation of periods But if cyst increases in size and starts producing lot of symtoms like excessive bleeding or pain, then it is best to get it removed surgically. Surgery involves either removal of cyst or removal of cyst along with ovary or both ovaries. Consult a Gynecologist and discuss it with him/ her. Thanks
