Have Constant Cramping Stabbing Pain In Both Calf Muscles, Elbows And Forearms. Getting Relief With Sevella And Lyrica For Fibro

Having constant cramping stabbing pain in both calf muscles, aswell as a tension cramping type pain in both elbow forearms. Have been seen for last few years by pain doctor, have taken sevella, bad speller sorry, and lyrica for fibro type symptoms. Have only found comfort by pain meds unfortunantly. Mother and her parents seem to have have/had same type issues. Not sleeping, not getting better, and now seems like doctor thinks am just trying to abuse meds. Feel like removing legs and arm for comfort, tired of the hurt, discomfort, and feelings of being less than the thirty seven year old man i am. Any suggestions?

Hi and thanks for the query,
I do think you need a proper clinical review. It is very probable that it should be of infammatory origin and might require the opinion of a rheumatologist. Doing a complete blood count, an erythrocyte sedimentation rate could give an idea of the degree of inflammation. Any past history of autoimmune disease, or prior response to the drugs you have had the opportunity to use for this condition could be helpful. An initial evaluation by an internist could be most helpful. Kind regards
I find this answer helpful
