Have Chronic And Frequent Migraine, Traumatic Brain Injury, Disability, Swelling In Temple. What Is Going On?

I have chronic and frequent migraines stemming from a TBI 30 years ago and a strong family history. I have recently been put on disability with 18 - 20 migraines a month. But right now I am having a unique symptom for me and that is swelling and pain in my right temple, the same side as the migraine. What may be going on?

Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
The swelling may not be related to your migraine. For migraine you need to take prophylactic medicines such as propranolol or divalproex sodium. For acute attacks sumatriptan will be a good medicine. As far as your swelling is concerned it is possible that there could be a infection which is causing that pain. Get it examined by a surgeon.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
